The Best Thing About Being An American

For me, the absolute best thing about being an American is that I’m free to believe and profess anything. Views about God, Allah, Christ, Buddha, various Pantheons, Gaia, Environmentalism, Liberalism, Conservatism, Governments, and Anarchy  are all tolerated. Aside from paying taxes, I do not have to participate in, or to believe in, or pretend to believe, worship, follow, revere, honor, or bow down to any doctrine, faith system, hierarchy, or value system that I do not freely choose.

I do not have to live filled with fear, well not as much as in some places anyway.
